Tim & Karen Strurgess

We are Karen and Tim Sturgess, proud owners of the Cavendish Hotel. We have been running hotels for some years now, the Cavendish being our third success in Bournemouth. Our ultimate goal is to provide our guests with that ‘good old- fashioned’ service from days gone by where one feels they are truly being catered to as an individual, along with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. There is nothing more satisfying for us than to hear our guests expressing their desire to return to the Cavendish and our small community again soon to enjoy the relaxed and comfortable surroundings.

Tim
Tim not only owns the Cavendish but is also proud to add the title of Chef to his list of accomplishments. He also holds a private pilots license, is an avid fan of aviation, and a supporter of Chelsea football club.

Karen
Caring for the comforts and needs of the Cavendish clientele is a priority for this busy mother and hotelier. Karen’s other pride in her life is her loving family, daughter’s Jenna and Joanne, and of course her partner at the Cavendish, loving husband Tim.

Jenna Sturgess & Hannah Booth

Jenna and Hannah are the best of friends, and work together at the Cavendish as waitresses since leaving school this year.

Jenna
Being the daughter of hotel owners has been a great asset for me as I love to meet new people and listen to their stories and adventures from all around the World. As a waitress at the Cavendish it gives me the opportunity to get to know our guests on a more personal level.

Personally, it is my desire to return to Sixth Form College at the end of the summer to study as a Paediatric nurse.

Hannah
I am rather like Jenna in the fact that I love to socialize. Being a waitress at the Cavendish allows me the chance to meet people who I would never cross paths with in my regular life. I also like the fact that I can be of assistance to others and offer advice to visitors about the Bournemouth area and attractions.

I have recently left school and hope train as a Primary School teacher at Sixth Form College at the end of the summer.
